Company Profile

Bamic Import & Export was founded in 2006 with the idea of opening a business to supply superior quality thermal products to the Southern African market. It soon became apparent that there was a far wider need in many areas of the supply chain. In cold chain logistics, (air, road and sea transport); incorporating retail and agriculture, as well as the medical & pharmaceutical industries; all needed to use these sophisticated products to ensure the maintenance of temperatures for quality, efficacy and efficiency.

Within a short period Bamic has established itself as one of the leaders in this innovative industry. It is supplying excellent products and outstanding levels of service to a rapidly growing client base who appreciate the cost savings and quality maintenance Bamic’s products offer.

Their thermally insulated air cargo covers, pallet covers, rolltainer covers, thermal blankets, thermal truck partitions, thermal carrier bags and medico bags are part of this extensive range. The range has been expanded to include thermo rolltainers and eutectic plates for the cold chain as well as introducing Bluezone® Fresh Preservation technology.

For the construction industry there is a range of asphalt duvets designed to maintain the temperature of hot asphalt between manufacturing plant and work site and concrete curing covers which ensure optimal curing of poured concrete in very cold or very hot and humid conditions.

And recently the company launched the fabulous Bluezone® fresh preservation technology that will turn the storage and marketing of fresh produce on its head!

The company is a Closed Corporation registered with CIPRO and trades as an SMME (Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise), is level 4 BEE compliant. It supplies a number of major South African retailers and logistics companies and has conducted business throughout the SADC region and in the Emirates region of the Middle East.
